Ternes Burton™ plastic register pins are used to register multiple colors when printmaking using wood block or lino material or silk screening. Ternes register pins have a trademarked base shape, which is unique to our company.
Plastic Register Pins are available in two heights- .065" (1.65mm) high and .120" (3.04mm) high. Heights listed are the button height only and do not include the base thickness. The shorter height including the base is less than the thickness of standard lino material. While the plastic is a durable material please watch the pressure of your rollers and adjust if need be. Always remember to make sure your stripping tabs are all the way to the base of the button for best and tightest contact. The standard pin sold worldwide is the 1/4" while the 9/32" are mainly used by schools in the US
Plastic Register pins are available in the pull down menu below. Price breaks shown are 10% when ordering a unit of 50 pins, 20% when ordering 100 and 30% when ordering 250 pins. Other quantities please email. Thank you.
Metal register pins have been discontinued. Company minimum $90 excluding postage.
1/4” Plastic Register Pins
Ternes Burton™ stripping tabs are the bridge between your paper and the register pin button. One side of the stripping tab is taped to the edge of your paper, and the round 1/4" (6.3mm) hole in the tab is then attached to the 1/4" round button on the register pin. Always make sure that the stripping tab is all the way at the bottom of the register pin button for the tighest fit. The round hole on the ST1 stripping tab is 1/4" (6.3mm) and these tabs will only work with 1/4" round register pins. Stripping tabs are available in bags of 500 or 1000 pieces in the pull down menu below.
