Step 1.
A press layout is made and the images are stripped into the position of the first exposure.

Step 2.
The punched plate is positioned on the stepboard over the pins in the working area of the board.

Step 3.
The flat is then placed on the same pins as the plate. Two stepping spacers on each side are put into place to accommodate the stepping distance required.

Step 4.
Stripping tabs are attached to the spacers and then taped to the flat. Mask tail portion of plate to prevent exposure. Ready for first exposure.

Step 5.
Flat is moved into position for second exposure. Mask lead and tail portions to prevent exposure.

Step 6.
Flat is moved to its third and final exposure position. Again, mask tail area to prevent unwanted exposure.

Step 7.
The plate is then processed and is shown here coming out of the plate processor.

Step 8.
The Ternes Burton stepboard is light and flexible and allows for ease of handling in and out of the vacuum frame.
